lets remixer speak! >it was great to be asked to do this. originally, i wanted to do something really quirky and funky with the strange vocal in human bond, one of my favorite old tracks. i tried a few times but i couldnt really get a vibe going in the funk realm. so i listened to the original over and over again and then the lightbulb turned on. i realized that the original was a monster rave track, like what you would hear in a warehouse in detroit in the 90s. so i threw out my original idea and went crazy with a huge techno builder, something to hype a big rave just like the original. maybe this doesnt sound exactly like what i usually do but that was the fun of making it< claude vonstroke. aa: >bounce your body to the box was one of the first kms records that i owned and it was all about the mike >hitman< wilson mix and force field on the b side. the production on the original was huge. the 909 groove just pounded everything... when that came out there was nothing that came close to it. so it was an honor and a challenge to mix it myself. first came the futurist bounce mix... not released on vinyl, anmerkung, ... which is more of a cover version than a remix. i had a lot of fun with this one but it definitely has a signature that steps away from the original. so i had to take a run at it one more time to pay a proper homage to the original with the flashback mix< mike shannon...

2020 repress - the beautiful release from circulation released in 1996 on balance recordings is re-released by phil weeks & didier allyne (p&d) for your ears. after the massive success mood ii swing « move me » (pnd05) another underground story of the house music continue with joshua michaels (iz) and dwayne washington (diz) met in chicago almost thirteen years ago and have been friends ever since. they both had their nicknames before meeting each other, so it was a natural progression to start working together as iz and diz. when joshua moved to chicago in 1994, iz and diz began making music together, recording their first track at the legendary kms studios in detroit for the prescription records offshoot balance. now out of print, this was to be a first in a series of well received singles for a variety of respected labels including silver network, classic, seasons recordings, tweekin records..

ted krisko and eric rickers hail from detroit, and their distinctive brand of snappy, playful electro and techno has already landed them releases on kms, visionquest and others. now they land on 20/20 vision with the devilishly fun one lfo, an unremitting acid jam shot through with crafty drum programming and enough robotic lubricant to get the rustiest joints greased up and moving. fellow detroit champs luke hess and delano smith shore up on the flip with classy remixes, hess waving his dubby strains over the original in inimitable form and smith taking things deep, smooth and just a little spooky.

since his debut track the rebirth released on bedrock, french producer oniris has spread up his melodic techno and dark groove on various labels such as kms, ovum, systematic and his head quarter astropolis records. he’s back on astropolis imprint with odysseus, a four tracks ep including a remix from the renowned marc romboy.

detroit’s d-records is back with the detroit bounce ep vol 2 with santonio echols (kms/tresor) & switzerland’s lot 6. santonio features the tech house “dawn of the dance” & “changed” while lot 6 provides the deep house joint “the road” with remix by the legendary dj mark archer. acid & club vibes!

belgium based fabrice lig is nothing else than a phenomenon of techno music. the list of high profile imprints where he released his music, like planet e, r&s, kms, third ear and playhouse is unique. marc romboy: „i m very proud and glad that i could sign such a legendary artist to my label. i m playing all three tracks in every set and wish there would be more real techno music like this.“

after the hugely successful parties in paris, kill brique becomes a label for the more techier side of the house. it was hard to keep it up mixing all the styles on brique rouge. the almighty hardfloor open the new imprint with a huge huge track called soulful spirit , an hymn to independant music. you can expect the usual acid treatment as well as a detroit taste in a kms vein. pretty nice.on the flip and to prove you that we are dead serious about this new label we abducted josh wink when he came to paris and push him in the studio to make this good damn remix ! even oliver bondzio said he loves it, and the man is hard to please believe me ! so kill brique ! josh wink rmx

canadas greg gow is a dj, producer, promoter and label manager with releases on legendary labels like transmat and kms. likewise gareth whitehead is a vastly experienced producer and dj as well as head honcho at bulletdodge records. delivering two new cuts, vacant gets you jacking from the get-go, before circuit breaker throbs into action. taking vacant down a darker path is none other than la based, silent servant (sandwell district)

decoy07 takes a deeper turn with the third act ep. miss sunshine (kms, monocline, tictactoe) has been working flawlessly in the studio for the past six years and this ep is no exception. third act is a heavy workout of riding bells and an old-school synth line which grooves its way through percussion builds and changes. intimidate is deeper and darker with a chugging groove and twisting effects growing into a more graceful melody. ground loop captures miss sunshines more ambivalent mood with a haunting groove that is perfect for those basement techno moments. markus suckut (figure, sckt)supplies the remix with his interpretation of ground loop, taking it more minimal and stripped back but maintaining the groove in his own familiar style.

i-robots is an alias of opilec music boss gianluca pandullo, a long time dj and producer with a penchant for classic techno and electro cosmic disco. for his next project in the esteemed i-robots reconstructions concept series the italian re-edits some classic material, all with the permission of the original artists. the tracks in question are derrick mays hugely influential *emanon* cut, recorded under his rhythim is rhythim alias and originally released in the 1990s on his own seminal transmat records label – one of the most important imprints in the early days of techno alongside kms and metroplex. the second track – which was first released on metroplex, the label juan atkins founded in 1985 and then re-released and reworked on sound vision - is *game one* produced by the legendary juan atkins and orlando voorn as infiniti. the latter of these pair has already released a number of times on the opilec music label.

the latest offering from san franciscos icee hot label finds the young imprint officially welcoming another artist to its gradually expanding roster. that said, contakt isnt exactly a stranger. the michigan-reared, new york-based producer is one of the founders and resident djs at brooklyns turrbotax® party, which has long been a sort of sister party to icee hot. contakt has previously released music for respected outposts like local action, grizzly, and dutty artz, but nobody else and tessera 04 find him taking an important step forward as an artist, delivering tunes that are richer and more really realized than anything from his past. particularly on nobody else, contakts flair for big-room melody remains intact, but he takes notes from classic kms, filling out the songs cresting synths with a full-bodied bassline, a hooky vocal sample and a sturdy rhythmic underpinning. tessera 04 goes deeper, channeling maurizio while delving headlong into a dense cloud of synths and maintaining a steady sense of forward momentum. on the flipside, icee hot resident ghosts on tape continues his recent hot streak, infusing nobody else with punchy drumwork and a potent rave sensibility. detroit legend robert hood then rounds out the release, transforming tessera 04 into a pulsing and purring slice of heady analog techno.

santonio echol is back with another release on detroit dancer. first track the intimate setting is a deep, warm & soulful techno production, b1 is a remix from the classic force field track which was originally released on kms back in the late 80s! here santonio gives it a warmer and deeper detroit feel to it. b2 is a collaboration with uks mike anderson on the vocals, again a warm, deep & soulful production, just as we like it. enjoy :)

detroits monty luke brought full flavor music the highly anticipated >bomb on bomb< ep which dropped in the summer of 2012. other than being carl craigs right hand man at planet e communications, monty luke has been letting loose chart topping eps one right after another all year long. planet e, kms, mothership, get physical, and montys own black catalogue are amongst the labels he has been busy releasing with. full flavor music is happy to be getting out the highly anticipated remixes to >bomb on bomb< by h foundation and gerd.

back in the 90s orlando voorn was one of the first european producers to establish the bridge between detroit & europe. with countless releases on classic labels like kms, r&s records, clubstitute, international deejay gigolo, ignitor and esp records to name a few, voorn is a important name in the history of electronic music.
